Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actress, singer and songwriter for a number of years. When she was a kid, Sara was racially taunted by many people in America. If she attended a school competition and received the highest praise for her singing at the age of 9 she began to grow more confident. Not only did she gain confidence through the audition however, she also re-evaluate her career goals. At 22 she was a graduate of New York's Julliard School. In the Broadway original production of Spamalot, she played the Lady of The Lake which won the Tony Award as well as high praise from critics. The following year, in 2007, she was cast on the ABC show Grey's Anatomy and became more popular. Known as a singer she has also released a single as well as an extended play. Also, she is a campaigner and has been active for LGBT rights.
